Bethenny Frankel a former Real Housewife star has decided to sue TikTok for allegedly letting scammers on the platform use her “image and likeness” to promote counterfeit products. Bethenny Frankel is a prominent influencer who claimed that some of her followers in September brought to her notice that they saw the influencer in ads that appeared to be Frankel promoting a counterfeit designer cardigan. Upon being notified, Frankel posted a video on TikTok warning her followers of the “unauthorized and illegal use of her persona to sell counterfeit goods,” but she later claimed that TikTok deleted the video. What Bethenny Frankel Demands From TikTok?
Frankel claimed that she has suffered significant injury and irreparable harm from the ads on the platform. Apart from seeking compensation for damages done to her reputation, Frankel is also asking to change TikTok’s advertising policy which she claims doesn’t “police” these kinds of ads.
